In April, 2003, Jon Bishop founded HistoTox Labs in a small space within the biology building at Colorado University, providing preclinical histology services.  While supporting local CROs and many other small to mid-sized biotech companies, the lab outgrew the small space and relocated in 2007 to a larger facility that was customized to include for expansion of the bone histology and also immunohistochemistry (IHC).    Since 2007, HistoTox has expanded their team considerably and also became GLP-compliant.  The company once again outgrew their space and now resides in a 6,600sf secure, purpose-built facility at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado.

HistoTox is proud to be well-recognized for their exceptional capabilities and expertise in preclinical immunohistochemistry (IHC); now a leader in the industry with a vast library of optimized antibodies and highly-trained scientific staff.  As a valuable compliment to the IHC services we have added the latest technology with an AT2 (Aperio) high-throughput slide scanner and the well-respected Visiopharm image analysis software.

The company remains committed to growing their capabilities to support routine and specialized histology, IHC, histopathology and digital pathology.  Our board-certified veterinary pathologists provide a great benefit to our internal teams and to our clients.

There is an ongoing commitment to operate in a highly-efficient manner to save YOU time and money. Our team understands the importance of your programs and is focused on doing what it takes to deliver exceptional quality and satisfaction.
